Programs
This course will teach water safety and introduce participants to the duties and responsibilities of a lifeguard; however, this course will not certify anyone to be a lifeguard. It will build a foundation of knowledge, attitudes and skills in preparation for the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course. Participants will be volunteers at the pool and also be part of, customer service, snack bar, facility upkeep and maintenance. Pride in your workplace is important! We will be providing all necessary PPE that Jr. Lifeguards will need when volunteering at Lowden Park Pool. Jr. Lifeguards are volunteers and will earn a certificate at the end of the season that can be used for educational facility requirements.
Note:
Reminder that the skills evaluation will occur, Monday, April 28th, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. at Lowden Pool. Successful applicants are welcome to join the Conditioning Camp at 6:00 p.m.
